Sobre Atmospheric Profile Systems
Campbell Scientific offers atmospheric profile systems that measure gas concentration and temperature (optional) at several different intakes, which are typically spaced along the height of a tower to give a vertical concentration profile. These systems are used to calculate the change in storage, which may be combined with eddy-covariance fluxes to give a more complete measure of the surface gas exchange. Profile intakes may also be placed in alternative configurations such as a multi-plot gradient application (i.e., an upper and lower intake pair is placed at each test plot); with a CSAT3B, data from these systems may be used to estimate fluxes using the gradient (i.e., K-theory) method.
