The RF232A serves as a link to field stations and repeaters at the base station for RF300-series radios. The RF232A includes a 110/220 Vac-to-12 Vdc transformer, an RF95A modem, an RS-232 port, internal mounts for an RF300-series radio, and a 7026 cable.

An RF300-series radio, antenna cable, and frequency-matched antenna are purchased separately. Access to ac power is required. The RF232A is intended for desktop operation; no mounts are required or supplied.

Computer must be IBM-PC compatible with an RS-232 serial port.
The RF232A is backward compatible with existing RF systems and DRL RF systems; it is NOT compatible with RF310-series radios.
If RF232A modems are used in a network containing RF500M modems or RF500B base stations then the RF232A modems must use the -TD PROM; the data loggers must also be PakBus (-PB) versions.
